The International Debate Championship (IDEBATE) is a contest hosted by the International Education Institute in which students from Van Lang Universities and those from other institutions in Vietnam and worldwide gather to compete. The Championship serves as a forum to raise awareness on designated topics in addition to creating a platform for students to express their opinions. Furthermore, via training workshops delivered by domestic and foreign experts, they will be given a chance to hone their skills while interacting with peers around the globe; thus, fully enhancing their international experience.

For season 2, the International Education Institute will jointly organize IDEBATE with The University of Newcastle (Australia), Edge Hill University (UK), Universiti Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), and Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University (Philippines) to bring this fantastic event to students from different parts of the world. IDEBATE now returns with a brand new theme: “Sustainable Development Goals and Youth Footprint”. The topic of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) has been no stranger to academics ever since its introduction in 2015 by the United Nations, and has been gradually incorporated into the curriculum of young scholars in various countries. With the increasing advancement of technology, people can easily access information and learn more about the practices that aspire to promote sustainability for the future generation. Therefore, we would like to hear the voice of the young generation on this matter, how much they are aware of current developments, and what measures they will take to tackle existing societal, political, and economic issues.
